It’s remix time!

Lovejoy have a reputation for creating sophisticated indie music.

They returned with their brilliant new album ‘…And It’s Love!’ in June 2024. Through eleven shimmering, lushly produced tracks, beautifully bound together by the central themes of love, loss and human connections, the album invites the listener to immerse themselves in Lovejoy’s world. A kind of concept album, the songs on ‘…And It’s Love!’ weave and meld together into a narrative soundscape of tender moments of love and loss that sound both reassuringly familiar and yet totally modern.

On this 7” lathe cut, we find one remix, and one alternative mix of tracks from the album.

The single makes a perfect accompaniment to the album, but also stands on its own feet as a joyful and upbeat indie-dance floorfiller.

First up, we have the Modduo Remix of ‘Nothing Stays The Same’. Modduo are the legends Nasser Bouzida (Big Boss Man, The Bongolian, etc) and Lee Grimshaw (Spinout Nuggets), who tucked themselves away at Beat Mountain Studio, Newbury, tweaking, squeaking, leaking, giving the track even more Balearic-ness. With additional bongos and Moog by Nasser Bouzida, and percussion by Lee Grimshaw. .

Secondly, we have the Bent Fabric Mix of the title track, ‘…And It’s Love!’, re-mixed by Julian Tardo and Richard Preece at Church Road Studio, Hove.
